How to Enable Browser Push Notifications for Proposal Alerts
Get notified the moment a client opens your proposal — even when Nudji isn't open. Setup guide for Chrome, Firefox, and iOS.
Browser push notifications let you receive nudge alerts as native browser pop-ups — even when you don't have Nudji open. This means you'll know the moment a client opens your proposal, without checking your email or keeping a tab open.
Available on Pro plan and active trial users.
How to Enable
- Go to Settings → Notifications
- Scroll to the Browser push notifications section
- Click Enable notifications
- When your browser asks for permission, click Allow
That's it. Nudji registers your browser as a push notification endpoint. You'll see a "Push notifications active on this device" confirmation.
Each Device Is Registered Separately
If you use Nudji on your laptop and your phone, you need to enable push notifications on each device separately. Both devices will then receive alerts simultaneously.
To remove a device, click Disable notifications on that device. Only that browser's registration is removed — other devices are unaffected.
Quiet Hours Are Respected
Push notifications respect your quiet hours settings. During your quiet window, push notifications are suppressed along with email. If you want alerts to always come through regardless of quiet hours, set no quiet hours window in Settings → Notifications.
iOS — Add to Home Screen Required
Apple restricts browser push notifications to websites installed as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on iPhone and iPad. Standard Safari does not support them.
To enable push notifications on iOS:
- Open
nudji.inin Safari on your iPhone or iPad - Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow)
- Tap Add to Home Screen
- Give it any name and tap Add
- Open Nudji from your home screen (not from Safari)
- Go to Settings → Notifications → Enable notifications
Once installed as a PWA, Nudji works just like a native app and push notifications work normally.
Not seeing the "Add to Home Screen" option? It only appears in Safari — not Chrome or Firefox on iOS. Open
nudji.inin Safari, then try again.
Android
Browser push notifications work directly in Chrome and Firefox on Android. No installation required — just enable notifications in Settings and allow when prompted.
Troubleshooting
I enabled push but not receiving notifications
- Check your device's notification settings: Go to your OS settings → Notifications → Browser → make sure Nudji's site is allowed
- On macOS: System Settings → Notifications → your browser → Allow notifications
- On Windows: Settings → System → Notifications → your browser → On
The "Enable notifications" button is greyed out
Your browser may have previously blocked notifications for Nudji. To reset:
- Chrome: Click the lock icon in the address bar → Notifications → Allow, then reload
- Firefox: Click the lock icon → Connection Secure → More Information → Permissions → Receive Notifications → Allow
- Safari (macOS): Safari menu → Settings for This Website → Notifications → Allow
I disabled push but still getting them
Disabling push in Nudji's settings removes the registration. If you're still receiving alerts, your browser may have a cached subscription — clear site data in your browser settings and re-enable.
