What Does Your Client See When They Open Your Proposal?
The viewer experience explained — the name prompt, PDF viewer, mobile support, email gating, and what your client never sees.
When your client opens a Nudji tracking link, they see a clean, professional PDF viewer — no Nudji branding, no login wall, no friction.
The Name Prompt
The first time a client opens a proposal, a small modal appears asking for their name.
- It's optional. They can skip it entirely and proceed straight to the proposal.
- Why it matters for you. When a name is provided, nudge alerts use it: "Sarah from Acme opened your proposal" is more useful than "Someone opened your proposal."
- Returning visitors. The name is saved in their browser's local storage. If the same person reopens the link, the prompt is skipped automatically.
The PDF Viewer
The proposal opens as a full-screen, page-by-page viewer:
- Works on any device. Mobile, tablet, and desktop — no app required.
- No download, no login. The client never needs a Nudji account.
- Smooth navigation. Clients can scroll between pages or tap/click page previews.
The viewer is built to feel like a professional document experience, not an embedded Google Drive link.
Require Email to View (Pro)
If you've enabled "Require email to view" on a proposal (a Pro plan feature), the name prompt is replaced with a form that also requires an email address before the proposal opens.
- Disposable and personal email addresses (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.) are accepted
- Temporary/throwaway email domains are blocked
- The verified email is shown in your session list and nudge alerts, so you know exactly who viewed it
See Require Email to View for setup instructions.
What the Client Cannot See
- Your account or other proposals. The link only exposes the single proposal it was created for.
- That Nudji is tracking them. There is no visible tracking notice in the viewer.
- Your internal notes or client details. The proposal title, client email, and phone number you entered during upload are visible only in your dashboard.
If the Link Is Forwarded
If your client forwards the link to a colleague, that colleague can open it without any issue. Their session is recorded separately and counted as a new unique viewer. You may receive a Multi-viewer nudge alert if this happens — see How Nudge Alerts Work.
